Mission Statement
The Eller Heart Family Council is a recently organized group of parents of children with congenital heart defects. This network of volunteers works in conjunction with the Scott & Laura Eller Congenital Heart Center to provide resources to other parents whose child has been diagnosed with a congenital heart defect.
The Council was established in 2009 by Beth Rumack NNP-BC, with the support of Dr. David Cleveland, Director, The Scott and Laura Eller Congenital Heart Center.
The Council committees engage in a variety of activities including: community outreach, awareness event planning, fundraising, and manning of a support hotline. All of these efforts serve to further the Council’s two-fold mission of assisting parents raising or expecting a child with a congenital heart defect, and developing interest in and support for Congenital Heart Defect research and treatment.
